Ballroom Line Dancing

In this class, instructor Jan Fregonese will teach you the basic fundamentals of a variety of Ballroom Dances, without the concern about leading or following your partner. She will lead you through a collection of choreographed ballroom steps performed in a line formation. The various movements involve a variety of walking, swiveling or turning movements done to the music of many Latin dances such as the Cha Cha, Mambo, Samba, Rumba, and the Merengue.

Dancin’ Feet in Motion

If you are looking for something enjoyable and fun to do in your spare time, try our Line Dance classes where you will learn new and standard line dances in a comfortable, welcoming, fun-filled class. Since you dance on your own, line dancing is ideal for singles and for partners of non-dancers. It's also wonderful for people who want a social activity that doesn't involve dating, partnering or going to a bar to enjoy! People with two left feet are welcome!

Even though it is still called “Country-Western Line Dancing” opposed to “Traditional Line Dancing”, it is now modern, urban sophistication, swing syncopations, flowing waltz and nightclub rhythms, and dances with a Latin flavor. We are still dancing in lines — but are enjoying a large variety of music. Line dancing has evolved to offer everyone fun and enjoyment and will keep you coming back for more.

For more information on the program and what you need to bring, call Carol Larocque (Parkside member) at 705-525-0448, or visit the Dancin’ Feet in Motion website at
